It’s been way too long since I’ve set monthly goals for myself. For some reason, I woke up yesterday morning determined to get sh*t done this month so here I am, setting some new goals!
I want this month to be a big one. By the end of this month, I want to be feeling fantastic! I want to feel accomplished and in a good place in life. So this month, I’m focusing on a few different areas: wellness, education, and my career. Those are my three main focus points this month and I cannot wait to get started!
Read 3 Books
First things first, I want to read more. I admit, I’ve already gotten a little bit of a head start here. But I’m so determined to get back to reading! I re-downloaded Audible and Kindle to my iPhone and then went ahead and purchased a few too many books…I’m hoping by downloading Audible, I’ll be able to listen to my books on the go and while I work. Actually sitting down and opening a traditional book just really isn’t doable with a 9 month old and with working from home. So my fingers are crossed that Audible helps!
Run 50 Miles
I hate running. And if you’ve been following along for a while now then you know this. It’s just. so. boring to me. But yet for some reason, I really want to get into it and start liking it. So this month I want to run 50 miles! It’s just 1.5 to 2 miles a day so this goal shouldn’t be too challenging if I take Allie for a jog every morning when we wake up. Wish me luck with this one.
Look Into Graduate Programs?
This one is still very much up in the air, but part of me is interested in getting back to my graduate program. I reached out to my advisors last week so we’re going back and forth and discussing possible program options. The big thing is making sure financial aid is taken care of and making sure I’m able to balance courses with life. We have a lot going on this year as Zack transitions out of the military and we move back to the east coast. So we really need to talk and make sure that I’m not biting off more than I can chew. But I do very much want to finish my masters degree in digital marketing so I’m hoping we can find a way to make it work! I’m hoping to have this all figured out this month so I can start classes back up in April!
Blog Four Days A Week
I wanted to set the goal of blogging five days a week, but with my luck, I’ll set that goal and then have a week where I “fail” one day. So I’ll start off more slowly and set a goal of four new blog posts a week. I finally feel back on track with my site and it’s so exciting! This will be the month where I get back to work full time. I can feel it!
Cross Something Off My Bucket List
I don’t know what it will be yet, but after reading a blog post by The Confused Millennial on the importance of bucket lists, I’ve been feeling even more inspired to focus more on my bucket list. So this month, I want to make it happen. I want to take the time to do something I’ve always wanted to do, whether it’s learning a new skill or visiting a new place or seeing something I’ve never seen before. I’m determined to cross something off my never-ending list.
