Five On Friday: Weekly Happenings | Why Hello Lovely

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful week!  It’s been busy around here lately and I realized I really haven’t posted much about anything that’s going on here.  You all know Zack is overseas, but other than that, I really haven’t been sharing too much about life.  So today I just wanted to catch up with you all!

I got business cards!

I’m so excited about this, guys!!  So I’ve been working with Samantha at The Samantha Show these past couple weeks and she made the suggestion that I get business cards for my blog.  I had toyed with the idea for a while, but never really felt they were necessary.  After some more debate, I finally took the time to create and order them from Vistaprint.  I’m so happy with the way they came out.  I have so many great things in the works for this blog over the next few months and it’s so great to feel a bit more professional.  I’m trying so hard to turn this into something more and it’s so exciting to see it grow.

Our wedding anniversary.

As you all know, Monday was our two year wedding anniversary.  Unfortunately, Zack wasn’t here obviously, but he did manage to wish me a happy anniversary right at midnight.  Even with a 13 hour time difference, he was able to beat me to it. It made me smile to get his text.

Anyways, I didn’t want to be depressing all day so I went to the mall, got my nails done, did a little shopping, ate some sushi, and then went to Zack’s mom’s house for dinner that night.  Overall, it was a pretty relaxing day, but of course I would much rather have spent it with Zack.

Fryeburg Fair.

On Wednesday, I took my youngest sister, Alex to the Fryeburg Fair.  We met up with my friends, Kyle and Amanda and had a blast!  We went on a night called ‘bracelet night’ where you can buy a bracelet for $20 and go as many rides as you want without having to buy tickets.  It’s definitely worth the money because we went on pretty much every ride they had…multiple times.

I’m very glad that I only brought a set amount of cash with me.  I could easily have eaten everything available, but it’s all just so expensive.  I did, however, make an exception for onion rings and apple crisp with homemade vanilla ice cream on top.  Alex also got a whoopee pie that she shared with me as well.  Kyle and Amanda went to town with food.  They had just about everything from cotton candy to pizza to apple crisp to sausage.  They had it all.  I forgot how expensive fairs can get!

I finally bought a Michael Kors bag!

Zack is too good to me.  I’ve had my eye on this bag for a while now.   I’ve asked for it multiple times and the answer has always been ‘no’ since it’s so expensive (which I really do understand and agree that it is expensive).  FINALLY, I asked him one last time (fully explaining why I wanted/needed it) and he responded with a ‘yes’!  I was so excited. I went out the following day and bought it.  I’m completely obsessed with it.  It’s the Susannah Large Tote by Michael Kors.

I sprained my ankle.

Yup.  No idea how.  I’m not sure if it was from the gym or if it was from Jack pulling on his leash when I take him for walks.  I don’t know.  But my ankle is sprained and I’m pretty sure the other ankle was close to being sprained as well.  Both were hurting for a few days, but one got better in 2-3 days while the other one is still hurting a week and a half later.  I’ve had it wrapped for a few days now, but it’s just so hard to stay off of it when I’m constantly on the go.  I’m hoping it gets better soon so that I can get back to the gym.

How have you all been?  Let’s catch up!
